After finishing my MA in Media, Culture & Ethics and working in ‘the field’ of film, tv & culture as a coordinator / producer, I decided to listen to the call of creating and go back to school. A few years later, I graduated as a Graphic Designer (cum laude), and later as a Photographer. So I guess this makes me a multi-disciplinarian artist!

My main interest was always the influence the media & our society have on our sense of self and the development of our identity. In my case, being a woman, I could never find any resonance with the public field/eye and the messages dominantly presented, all the f*cking time.
So that’s why I wanted to become a maker myself: so I could create a visual language that is more in line with my own values & beliefs! 

So here I am, looking much forward to co-create this new visual language for a fast changing world. And I would really love to work with you, if any of this aligns with your beliefs!

women & water

In our waters I find the same characteristics as I find in women (and water is said to be the ‘feminine element’ anyway): we are both soft but strong, resilient, and not the least: we are the bringers of all life. Yet we have been treated so poorly by the greater players at hand. Especially the past decades/centuries the damage done is becoming more and more visible, and most of us feel the need for (drastic) change. 

With my water photography, I want to celebrate the beauty and strength, adaptability and omnipresence of our waters, and the vital role she plays in our daily lives. It’s both an homage to something so big we can’t possibly comprehend, as it is a promotion to the importance of the free flowing joy and abundance we so desperately are in need of.
